SANTO DOMINGO.– El Instituto de Estabilización de Precios (Inespre) venderá productos alimenticios a bajos costos en 40 destacamentos ubicados en municipios cabecera del país mensualmente a través de las bodegas móviles, para que los miembros de la Policía Nacional puedan rendir sus salarios.
Para lograr este objetivo, el ministro de Interior y Policía, Jesús Vásquez Martínez; el director general de la Policía Nacional, Edward Ramón Sánchez González y el director ejecutivo del Inespre, Iván Hernández Guzmán, firmaron un acuerdo de colaboración interinstitucional.
Iván Hernández Guzmán, director de Inespre, destacó la labor que realizan los miembros de la Policía Nacional y expresó su satisfacción de poder servirles.
“Los agentes policiales están 24 horas en las calles sirviéndonos a nosotros como ciudadanos y todo lo que contribuya en mejorar su calidad y poderle llevar un mejor sustento lo haremos, esa es la intención del presidente de la República, Luis Abinader”, manifestó Hernández Guzmán.
Mientras que el ministro de Interior y Policía, Jesús Vásquez Martínez, explicó que la iniciativa forma parte de los esfuerzos del Gobierno para dignificar la labor de los agentes y que los mismos puedan ahorrar sus recursos.
Vásquez Martínez señaló que los policías podrán comprar el último sábado de cada mes los principales productos de la canasta básica a precios asequibles gracias al Inespre.
En tanto que el director general de la Policía, mayor general Edward Ramón Sánchez González agradeció y valoró la iniciativa, tras resaltar la importancia de que a los miembros de la institución y a sus familias les lleguen alimentos de calidad y accesibles.
Las ventas de alimentos a través de las bodegas móviles del Inespre serán realizadas en los destacamentos ubicados en los 40 municipios cabecera. Los agentes tendrán que presentar sus carnets para comprar los productos.
El pacto establece que los agentes del orden no pueden transferir, prestar o ceder su carnet a tercera persona para la compra de los productos.
El Inespre venderá arroz, habichuelas, pollo, ajo, papa, cebolla, aceite, pastas alimenticias.
