Completa meta de los 158 municipios del país en tiempo récord.
Santiago, RD – El ministro de Interior y Policía, Jesús Vásquez Martínez, dejó formalmente instalada aquí, la Mesa de Seguridad, Ciudadanía y Género número 158, con lo cual se completó en tiempo récord la cantidad de estos grupos de trabajo que operarán en todos los municipios del país.
´´Hoy es un día histórico, pues con la instalación y puesta en funcionamiento de la Mesa de Seguridad, Ciudadanía y Género de esta ciudad de Santiago de los Caballeros, que es corazón de la patria y una de las provincias que más aportes realiza país, en efecto el 17% del Producto Interno Bruto se recibe de Santiago, es por ello que en las próximas semanas estaremos abriendo todos los servicios del Ministerio de Interior y Policía desde esta ciudad, en el cuarto piso del edificio de las oficinas gubernamentales´´ puntualizó.
Indicó que esta mesa de Santiago, sella el compromiso del presidente Luis Abinader de fortalecer las instituciones de nuestro país, haciendo constar la magnífica experiencia que hemos logrado experimentar, donde todos los alcaldes de todos los partidos, han asumido con gran responsabilidad y entusiasmo.
“Estoy seguro que esta mesa local habrá de mejorar la seguridad en Santiago en un mediano plazo, pero lo más importante es que con ella concluimos con este reto en toda la geografía nacional, ya podemos decir que tenemos en todo el país la plataforma que servirá de base para lo que será la Estrategia Integral de Seguridad más completa que haya presentado gobierno alguno en la República Dominicana´´ manifestó Vásquez Martínez.
Al pronunciar el discurso central del acto, el ministro afirmó que Santiago aporta el 17 por ciento del Producto Interno Bruto, y por primera vez, la República Dominicana cuenta con una estructura funcional de interacción entre los gobiernos locales y el gobierno central, pues en los 158 municipios del país, los ciudadanos y todos los sectores de la sociedad representados en estas mesas, se encuentran empoderados y podrán tener una participación e incidencia directa para resolver todos los problemas que afectan a sus comunidades en materia de seguridad.
Aseguró que a partir de ahora se pondrá en funcionamiento de manera organizada la Mesa Nacional de Seguridad, Ciudadanía y Género, la cual servirá de plataforma para recibir los insumos que permitan ejecutar un plan de seguridad, tomando en cuenta las recomendaciones de todos los sectores de la sociedad.
La actividad contó con la presencia de la viceministra de Interior y Policía en Seguridad Preventiva en Gobiernos Provinciales, Ángela Jáquez; el alcalde de Santiago, Abel Martínez, la magistrada Inocencia Tapia, en representación del Ministerio Público; el director de la Policía, mayor general Edward Sánchez; el presidente de la DNCD, contralmirante José Manuel Cabrera; el director de la DIGESETT, general Ramón Antonio Guzmán, Servio Tulio Castaños, vicepresidente de la Fundación Institucionalidad y Justicia (Finjus), entre otros.
